Adults
Life Groups
Each week small groups for adults called – Life Groups – meet. These small groups meet on Sunday night (and other nights as well) at 6 pm at Destiny and cover a variety of topics and use the Bible as their basis of discussion.
Wednesday Night Harp and Bowl Prayer
“And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Revelation 5:8
During the Wednesday night prayer service you will observe that the worship team leads the congregation with anointed praise and worship – but not necessarily for the purpose of congregational singing – but rather to provide an anointed atmosphere that is conducive for studying and reading scriptures as well as pray and worship.
During these times you will notice that the congregation members may be reading their Bibles, studying, praying, and singing or there may be other creative expressions of worship while the worship team is ministering.
Secondly you will observe that as the worship team ministers – everyone is in tune to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance upon areas to pray and focus attentions. In this time anyone may go to the microphone to pray as directed by the Holy Spirit or share a scripture verse as led by the Holy Spirit. (That’s why there is a microphone set up in front of the congregation.)
Revivals are birthed when humans stop trying to control the environment and allow God to move, and the people of God to listen to what He is saying. As everyone begins to flow in the Holy Spirit – I believe He will lead, guide, and move. Different themes will become clear and prophetic words may be given, ministry may happen – this is what this time is for.
Finally, there is a time of Intercessory Worship. Jesus Christ is the greatest intercessor of all. Intercession is where we literally pray on behalf of someone else. The worship team will play anointed music, creating an atmosphere that invites God’s Spirit to flow while intercessors will pray and petition God in a corporate environment. This is the time when we pause to share prayer needs and testimonies alike. After we receive any prayer requests – this is the time where we practice the Biblical command of praying and interceding for one another.
The Wednesday night Harp and Bowl prayer begins at 7 pm and wraps up between 8-8:15 pm weekly.
